What does it take to make a person happy? Give him everything that he wants? A person can have everything in this world, but that doesnt necessarily make them "happy". Can it be possible to have nothing and still be happy?
I heard that according to psychologists, the following things are what people want most from life: to be healthy, reasonably prosperous, secure, to have friends, peace of mind, a firm spiritual foundation, good family relationships, and hope.
After looking at these things, how many apply to you? One would think that the more checkmarks you have down, the more happier you'd be, right?!
It's been quite the week. Last weekend in Michigan with Son was the greatest. Cant remember a better weekend. No kids, no stress, no arguments. Just an amazing time wining, dining, and shopping, shopping, SHOPPING!!! I LOVE my watch! Yes its very "Blingy"...but thats how I roll these days. Who says that a man can't wear a big-faced, diamond encrusted, Onyx coloured timepiece?! Other hetero-sexual men I guess. (My boss even went "Someone's making too much money in this place."). Love my new Michael Kors jacket as well. But Thank you Son for a great weekend away! I guess if we couldn't do CUBA, downtown Detroit is the next best thing.....! I Love you.
Otherwise its been a pretty quiet birthday weekend. No crazy parties. Been spending more time just chillin with friends in the industry. Drinks at the "ARMS", Surprise lunch at the BRIX, tonight... Thanks guys... I'll take this time to say that I ALSO have the best friends in the world!
Bought Season 1 of "Prison Break". First two episodes were pretty good. Don't know if it comes close to the experience known as "24"... but its not bad. The main guy aint too bad looking. You gotta think that a guy looking like that in jail would probably become somebody's girlfriend real quick. Instead he's being passed off as some sort of tough guy. But seriously, who would name their kid "Wentworth"?!
Ok, gotta prepare for the Couples Fellowship in a few hours. 23 couples, 12 kids running around. It's going to be nutty. (Thanks to Jess and Yvo for helping out.)
